Can you lose muscle while cutting on steroids

Like most people here, I have the problem of muscular thighs. I’m a 23 yr old female and I’m 5’3″. when I lose weight following conventional rules about cardio amd weight resistance training I would lose fat but I’d be left with a muscular curve on the front of my thighs and a bulky side view, especially in jeans. Im sure it’s genetic but I HATE IT ! Lately I’ve been trying to shift some fat I’ve Gained but I’m taking a new approach, focussing on cardio;brisk walking, jogging and interval training on the treadmill at my gym. I’m avoiding any resistance leg work but I have been doing leg raises while lying on my side because I want to target some stubborn fat deposits between my thighs which have been problematic for me even when I was thinner (I never targeted these deposits in my previous weight loss programs, but this time I’d like a more feminine, streamline result, less bulky muscles and I’m really hoping to get at least hint of that elusive “thigh gap”) . Given I’m not using any weights with these raises, do I risk adding bulk to my thighs with this activity ?

I have an office job and compensate by lack of movement by running and walking everyday. I am training for a half marathon and am running 12-16km 3-4 times a week and walk every other day. I try and stick to around 1200 calories each day and am just not losing weight (5ft 9 and about 135lb) I am trying to lose a little bit of with but it jus won’t budge! I tend to gain and lose muscle pretty easily. Any advice? I just want to feel a bit smaller particularly in the legs which feel bulky from all the running. I am scared that if I reduce exercise I will put on weight even at 1200 cal as I spend most of the day in front of computer! Thanks

The second step was to start the exercises, since I was more than half way to achieving my goal, this was more fun than I thought. I started off slow and increased as my fitness levels got better. I now exercise three days a week  using mainly the exercises in Mike's book, I also do a little strength training like pull ups and tricep extensions just to boost my muscular strength. I have been doing so for only two months and have had great results, I have not got a six pack stomach as yet, but my stomach is flat and I am so confident that it is only a matter of  short time since all the hard work has  been achieved to get rid of the bulge I once called a stomach.

Without going into ad nauseum do everything right. I am a thyroid hasimoto pt....69. Good energy. 5'8, Weigh 180 I hate it. It won't budge. On right dose. All labs right down the middle very healthy, even have cholesterol under 200 with high good cholesterol..my nutrition is perfect . I LOSE ANYTHING-even if I reduce calories then I am cutting out nutrition cause I don't eat ANYTHING WRONG to cut out!!!! no sugar lo good carbs, blah blah blah . I am so angry I can't stand it nothing works. I have insomnia if I don't have enough protein during the day and often have to eat egg whites at night to get back to sleep cause I eat so little during day. I am going nuts. Help! I have a public job with a nonprofit art programs and need to look nice. Having this 20 lbs is depressing and feel hopeless. I have to haul equipment..Everyone else loses 5 easy I CANT LOSE 1 no matter what I do.
